O Nuit, let me fly unfettered and free in thine Air!
Waves of Aethyr curl about me as thy lustrous strands of hair.
Thy body is a vast dark continuity
Voluptuous in its endless Beauty,
Encompassing all: every myriad star whirling on its appointed course,
Every word and divine inspiration from a Mercurial winged source.
Drawing breath I am filled, you are within me, and I
Within you, Queen of Heaven, as are all things.
Let me fly unfettered and free in thine Air!
O Nuit, let me plunge deep into thy Water!
To swim without care beneath your starry daughter
And feel my own sea swell synchronous with the motion
Of the deep dark currents of your infinite ocean
Of Love, finding there the key to unutterable peace and passivity.
Your Cup is ever full, all powerful in its receptivity.
My awareness is a but a bubble floating
Within you, Queen of Heaven, as are all things.
Let me plunge deep into thy Water!
O Nuit, let me be enflamed with thy Fire!
Consumed in the swirlings of Spirit, bound to the source of Will and Desire!
Alike are the candle burning bright, the heat in my lover's gaze,
And the Sun's secret center blazing out its life-giving rays.
All are reflections of the sulfurous spark or divine primal flame
That pushed itself out of nothing when the Universe came
Into being as a great fiery furnace of Light and Love spiraling
Within you, Queen of Space, as are all things.
Let me be enflamed with thy Fire!
O Nuit, let me be grounded upon thy Earth!
The firm foundation of your bedrock is ever beneath me, more worth
All the veined gold and silver threading through your rocky bones.
Immoveable, you underlie everything with your solid stones,
Great granite peaks, green forested hills, and black soil-soaked plains.
All things: fire, wind, water, and stars must pass, but thy sacred womb remains
Long after, spawning new life afresh. Secure in the continuousness
Within you, Queen of Space, as are all things,
Let me be grounded upon thy Earth!
